The Bellevue College Web Design curriculum was developed by Web designers, managers, and programmers to target the skills in demand by employers today.
Classes offer high-level training in the most current industry practices, and emphasize learning by doing. Instructors are respected professionals currently working in the field. Courses can be taken individually, or as part of a Web Design certificate program.
Web Design Certificate Program
The Bellevue College Web Design Certificate Program was created by an advisory board of Web professionals from the area's leading employers, and a team of instructors with deep industry experience. The curriculum is challenging, hands-on, and above all, directly transferable to the workplace.
The program culminates in a Capstone Project, with students building a portfolio website that highlights the skills acquired through the course of the program. Created for a real or fictional client of the student's choice, the Capstone process simulates working with a client from initial interview through final project presentation.
Web Design class sizes are small, and courses are tailored to accommodate varying schedules. Students can start any quarter, and complete at their own pace, taking as few as one or two courses a week. The program can be completed in as little as three quarters.
The Web Design Certificate Program requires a total of 167 class hours and offers a broad range of electives, including Web Analytics and advanced courses in Flash, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
